Face Shield can help prevent the spread of disease in a community if worn correctly and widely. Face shields can help prevent respiratory droplets from spreading to others, according to the CDC, but how well is unknown.
A face visor or shield may be used in addition to a face covering, but we do not advise wearing them in place of one. This is due to the fact that face shields and visors do not protect the nose and mouth, nor do they filter airborne particles.
How do you put on a face shield while wearing glasses?
Each face shield incorporates an internalized, comfort-fitting acrylic frame. Wear the face shields over your ears and on your nose bridge like you would glass, but with the added benefit of a face shield for protection. Underneath, put your spectacles on. There is a single size that fits all.
What is the best way to put on a face shield?
Do not make any contact with the front of the face shields. You should stretch the elastic out with your thumbs, then lay the stretched elastic behind your head in such a way that the foam sits on your forehead. Check that the shield covers the front and sides of your face and that no regions are left exposed once you’ve put it on.
